Asia-Pacific forum on e-governance

Electronic governance is increasingly being recognised as a driver and enabler for more efficient, inclusive and transparent governance.

Following the success of its e-Governance Africa Forum in 2007, Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) is organising the Asia-Pacific e-Governance Forum from May 20-22, 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

CTO is an international development partnership between Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth governments, business and civil society organisations. It provides unique knowledge-sharing programmes to developing countries in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the specific areas of Telecommunications, IT, Broadcasting and the Internet.

Hosted by Ministry of Energy, Water and Communications, Malaysia, the event will provide a unique knowledge-sharing platform for policy makers, industry leaders, regulators and public sector leaders to deliberate, interact and develop an actionable strategy for delivering transparency and good governance.
