UN ICT Task Force invites public comments on the proposal of creating a Global Alliance, a collaborative platform to enable all the stakeholders participate in an open and transparent global ICT policy formulation process.
The Global Alliance for ICT is proposed to be the successor of the UNICT Task Force, a UN sponsored multistakeholder network mandated to raise policy-maker awareness and understanding on development potential of ICTs.
As the MDGs Review Meeting (MDG+5 Summit) is approaching, the feasibility of creating an open and creadible platform such as the Global Alliance seems to be promising.
