The Preliminary Report of the Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG) serves as the consultation document for the open Internet governance consultation at the Preparatory Committee meeting on 24 February 2005 in Geneva.
This report heavily draws on the deliberations in two earlier meetings held in November 2004 and February 2005. These meetings have helped the WGIG and internet governance stakeholders in framing a common working understanding of internet governance.
The report is part of WGIGs endeavour to make the consultation open, transparent and inclusive through online discussions, enabling all stakeholders participate in the internet governance consultations.
